Artisti.Curatori.Critici.

Gli Artisti Curatori e Critici invitati e segnalati potranno spaziare nella creazione di un'opera , una proposta di collaborazione , una performance ed una azione all'interno della mappa del centro storico di genova fornita da nopasswd , fatta eccezione per progetti che per la loro natura necessitano di zone specifiche della città di genova .

Essendo prerogativa implicita di nopasswd non usufruire di autorizzazioni di alcun tipo da parte delle istituzioni locali , l'A.C.C. si renderà direttamente responsabile delle ripercussioni sullo spazio pubblico e sulla popolazione locale della sua azione artistica autogestendo totalmente le sue responsabilità sociali , in modo da attestare legalmente ciò di cui sopra e di scongiurare una eventuale azione legale verso i simpatici organizzatori di nopasswd , verrà richiesta la sottoscrizione di una lettera autografa che dichiari la totale responsabilità di ogni partecipante verso le proprie azioni .

Inoltre si richiede di non usufruire mai del logo e del nome di nopasswd per pratiche che possano essere perseguibili legalmente .

Tutti i progetti e le idee sviluppate dentro e per nopasswd dovranno essere esclusivamente low-budget .

Sarà messo a disposizione degli A.C.C. un fondo comune per la realizzazione delle opere e delle azioni .

Gli A.C.C. dovranno presentarsi forniti dei propri strumenti di lavoro usuali : videocamera , laptop , macchina fotografica etc ...

Per chi non fosse in grado , per svariati motivi , di adempiere alle spese di alloggio o di viaggio nopasswd si rende disponibile per la trattativa e la risoluzione del problema posto .

Le opere e la documentazione delle azioni svolte durante il festival rimarranno proprietà degli autori .

nopasswd si riserva il diritto di pubblicare sul sito , ed eventualmente in un catalogo cartaceo , un resoconto dettagliato delle azioni svolte durante il festival usufruendo del materiale degli autori stessi insieme al materiale fornito dallo staff del festival , saranno poi pubblicate anche le discussioni ed i dibattiti scaturiti durante la settimana .

Artists.Curators.Critics.

The invited and indicated artists , curators and critics will be able to range from creating and performing within the map of the historical centre of Genoa supplied by nopasswd , with the exception of projects that require specific areas of the city .

The implicit prerogative of nopasswd is to not benefit from local institutional authorizations . The organization behind nopasswd wants to make it very clear that the A.C.C. will be personally responsible of the repercussions of every artistic action on the public space and on the local population .

Self-management of every single social responsibility will be paramount !

In order to legalize the above mentioned , and to avoid any kind of legal issue that could involved the nopasswd organizers , it has been decided to request a letter from the participant to declare full liability for any damage caused .

It also requested to not use the nopasswd name and logo for any kind of activity punishable by law .

All the projects and the ideas that are suggested for and within nopasswd will be exclusively low-budget .

A common fund will be available to the A.C.C. in order to realize works and

actions .

The A.C.C. will be invited to attend provided with their usual working tools : video-cameras , laptops , cameras , etc...

nopasswd is willing to provide help and advice for those who cannot cover the board and lodging costs .

The work and documentation of the actions that take place during the festival will remain the authors' property .

nopasswd reserves the right to publish a detailed report of the actions that will take place at the festival , on the web-site and on paper , using all the material supplied by both authors and staff , including debates and personal opinions .

To join the contemporary art festival nopasswd , applications must be forwarded not later than the 1th of March 2009 to : npsswdfestival@gmail.com .

NOPASSWD vuole essere la prova dell'esistenza di un'intelligenza mobile e viva sul territorio , capace di scatenare reazioni , dibattiti , azioni , senza password d'accesso !

Un'occasione per artisti , curatori e critici di mettersi alla prova , per mettersi in discussione , per inventare una comunità provvisoria e dare vita ad

un'entità nuova , fluida .

Un' entità sporadicamente cosciente di sé ma soprattutto incosciente , ancora alla ricerca , un'entità dinamica di uomini e donne, di artisti , di intelligenze , di coscienze , con lo scopo comune di essere , nel divenire cultura ed esperienza , condivisibili , apprendibili ... trasformabili ... riutilizzabili ...

NOPASSWD é _azioni che scaturiscono dalla necessità stessa di agire anche senza possedere la password di accesso al sistema o l'approvazione della critica istituzionale , movimenti ombra nello spazio pubblico e privato in continuo divenire ed espandersi .

Un progetto borderline , una messa a nudo del processo creativo di pratiche artistiche contemporanee indirizzate al dialogo con una dinamica operativa e comunicativa che simula quella delle cellule terroristiche .

Una continua comunicazione con gli artisti operativi , un continuo contatto e dialogo con i loro movimenti ed azioni nella mappa spazio/temporale designata , disegnata ed immaginata .

NOPASSWD si propone di _creare uno spazio non definito provvisorio dissolvendo i confini tra pubblico e privato tramite l'esperienza diretta di azioni artistiche .

Creare un percorso esperienziale parallelo e propositivo all'interno del panorama dell'arte contemporanea italiana ed al contempo mettere in atto un esperimento di totale autogestione delle responsabilità sociali da parte degli artisti come individui all'interno della società contemporanea .

Essere una temporanea esperienza di indipendenza dalle proprie attitudini imprenditoriali per dare più valore e spazio ai contenuti dell'azione artistica e al dialogo .

Essere una ferita temporanea e rimarginabile nel sistema dell'arte contemporanea .

Divenire una entità sinergica e attiva indipendente da percorsi gerarchici e consequenziali prestabiliti all'interno del sistema .

NOPASSWD aspires to be : - the proof of the existence of a lively and mobile intelligence on the territory , able to set off reaction , debates , actions , without the need of an admission password !

- an opportunity for artists , curators and critics to test themselves , to be brought into question , to invent a temporary community and to bring to life a new , fluid entity .

An entity that is occasionally aware of itself , but mostly unconscious , still

searching , a dynamic entity of men and women , of artists , minds , consciences , with the mutual aim of just being ... becoming culture and experience , sharing , learning , re-using ...

NOPASSWD is : - actions that spring to life with the urge of operating even without having the "admission password" to the system , or the approval of the "critique"...

- shadow movements in public and private spaces , in continuous expansion and growth

- a borderline project , a revealing of the creative process of contemporary art experiences , directed towards a dialogue with an operational and communicative dynamic that simulates the one of terrorist cells

- a continual communication with operative artists , a continual contact and dialogue with their movement and actions in the imagined time/space map .

NOPASSWD aspires to : - create a non-defined temporary space , dissolving the borders between the public and the private trough the direct experience of artistic actions ... creating a parallel and positive path within the outline of Italian contemporary art while acting out an experiment of total self-management of social responsibilities on

behalf of the artists within society ;

- to be an experience of independence from one's own entrepreneurial aptitude , to give more value and space to the subject matter of the artistic action and dialogue ;

- to be a temporary wound in the system of contemporary art ;

- to become a synergistic entity , active and separated from hierarchical paths that seem pre-established within the system .

Durante i sette giorni di vita di nopasswd gli artisti invitati , italiani ed internazionali , segnalati dalla direzione artistica di nopasswd in maniera totalmente indipendente ed in collaborazione con noti spazi no profit attivi nel panorama internazionale dell'arte contemporanea , insieme a curatori e critici , svilupperanno i progetti da essi stessi proposti in diverse modalità con il comune scopo di interagire con la mappa spazio/temporale e sociale disegnata ed immaginata da nopasswd all'interno del centro storico genovese ed in alcuni casi specifici anche oltre i perimetri della mappa .

I progetti proposti durante nopasswd , per prerogativa stessa del festival , saranno tutti esclusivamente low-budget .

Azioni e performance sviluppate dagli artisti coinvolgeranno abitanti , lavoratori e locali commerciali del centro storico genovese nonché le strade dello stesso , animandole con attività sperimentali visive , relazionali , sonore , performative ...

L'identità di artisti curatori e critici invitati verrà resa pubblica la seconda settimana di Marzo 2009 sul sito di nopasswd .

Ogni giorno delle settimana vi sarà un ampio spazio dedicato al dialogo , durante il quale potranno nascere collaborazioni e provvisori collettivi e dove si potrà iniziare anche un eventuale processo di smembramento e trasformazione dello stesso festival .

Gli incontri ed i dialoghi si terranno nel Laboratorio Sociale Autogestito Buridda www.buridda.org in via Bertani 1 , il quale ospiterà il Festival per tutta la sua durata , dal 7 al 14 Maggio 2009 . All'interno del Laboratorio Buridda sarà adibito un campo base che sarà luogo di confronto , di dibattito ed al contempo quartiere generale con la principale funzione di divulgazione delle operazioni in progress svolte sul territorio .

Il campo base sarà luogo completamente aperto al pubblico che verrà aggiornato costantemente , tramite una bacheca virtuale visionabile sia al campo base sia online sul sito www.nopasswd.com , sui movimenti di artisti curatori e critici in modo da divenire completamente partecipe del processo che porta alla realizzazione dell'opera o dell'azione .

Non vi sarà quindi modo di sapere ne data certa , ne ora sicura , ne luogo prestabilito in cui accadrà l'evento , se non connettendosi in rete e mantenendo

un contatto attivo con il festival iscrivendosi sul sito del festival

All'interno del campo base , unico e solo riferimento fisico stabile sulla mappa del festival , sarà allestito uno spazio tecnico fornito di monitors , proiettore , impianto audio e computers che potranno essere utilizzati da artisti , curatori e critici come strumenti con cui visionare e rendere al contempo pubblica la documentazione delle azioni svolte e le opere realizzate le quali verranno poi pubblicate sul sito giorno per giorno , e su un catalogo cartaceo autoprodotto con le interviste agli artisti ed un resoconto delle discussioni e dei dibattiti scaturiti durante tutta la settimana del festival .

L'identità degli artisti curatori e critici invitati verrà resa pubblica la seconda settimana di Marzo 2009 sul sito ww.nopasswd.com .

During the 7 days of the nopasswd experience , the invited artists , curators and critics Italian and international , ( pointed out by the artistic direction of nopasswd in collaboration with well-known no profit spaces in the contemporary art world ) will develop their own suggested projects in various modes , with the common aim of interacting with the social time/space map imagined by nopasswd within the historical centre of Genoa and in a few specific cases even crossing over the established boundaries . All the projects will be low-budget , as this is one of the propositions of the nature of the festival .

Actions and performances will develop involving local people , workers , shops of the historical centre ... the streets will come alive with visual , relational and sound experimental activities .

The names of the artists , curators and critics invited will be published on the nopasswd web site : www.nopasswd.com .

Every day of the week there will be a conspicuous space dedicated to the dialogue between artists , curators and critics invited , during which group exhibitions and collaborations could arise , and where possibly the actual festival could be transformed and dismembered .

The meeting and dialogues will be held in the temporary centre used as base camp , which will be a meeting and debate point , and at the same time " general quarters" with the main role of divulging the operations in process held on the territory .

The base camp will be completely open to the public that will be constantly kept up to date , thanks to a virtual notice - board that will be accessible both at the base camp and online : www.nopasswd.com .

This will allow the public to take part in the movements of the artists , critics and curators , thus becoming completely part of the process that produces the realization of the work or action .

Therefore , the only way to know where and when the event will take place , is to go online and keeping an active contact with the festival via web-sites mailing-list or SMSlist .

Within the base camp , the one and only physical point of reference on the festival map , a technical space will be set up , supplied with monitors , projectors , computers and audio systems that will be used by artists , curators and critics as tools with which to view and publish the documentation of the works and actions realized . These will be then on display on the web-site daily and on a self-made catalogue that will include interviews with the artists and an account of the debates that the festival will have sparked off .
